This full-length anthology by Suki Saran is comprised of fifty-two poems divided into two volumes, each of which is composed of twenty- six poems: 'Volume I: Anxiety Unto Angst' and 'Volume II: Yearning Ayond the Yoke' are tonally distinct, though thematically bound — the poems are arranged so as to allow for a coherent progression of the work as a whole, with a marked shift between the two volumes though the one leads into the other. Ravings of Restlessness and Rueis the culmination of a life fraught with suffering and sorrow, a mind wrought with anxiety and angst; the cry of a forsaken soul thrust into darkness yet yearning for light — it is the dusk of despair, it is the dawn of hope.
